Ringo Starr To Publish Two Books

Beatles drummer Ringo Starr is very busy these days. In addition to an exhibition on him that is opening at the Grammy Hall of Fame on July 12, he has also announced that he is working on two books.

The first, "Photograph" comes out as an ebook on June 12. As the title suggests, "Photograph" will contain candid shots spanning Starr's life from his childhood, through his time with the Beatles as well as his solo career. There will also be a signed limited edition print version of the book made by Genesis Books in December.

The Book Of Negroes Mini-Series Coming

Lawrence Hill’s The Book of Negroes, which since its publication in 2007 has won multiple awards as well as being selected for the 2009 edition of Canada Reads, is headed to the small screen with production of a mini-series beginning this fall.

David Bowie Headed to AGO

David Bowie is, an exhibition from London's Victoria and Albert Museum, will have its North American premiere this fall at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO).

The exhibit, which spans Bowie's 50+ year career features over 300 pieces culled from his personal archives including over 50 stage costumes, music videos, set pieces from various tours, as well as rare photos, album art design and film excerpts.

Harry Connick Jr. Releases Song For Sandy Hook Victim

To coincide with the release of his new album "Every Man Should Know" on June 11, Harry Connick Jr. has also announced that he will be releasing the single Love Wins as a benefit track to one of the victims of the Newtown, Connecticut shooting last year.
